What are GMO's?

GMO's (genetically modified organisms) are plants (seeds) created through the gene splicing techniques of biotechnology. This experimental technology merges DNA from different species, creating unstable combinations of plant, animal, bacterial & viral genes that cannot occur in nature or in traditional crossbreeding. The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) has advised doctors to tell their patients to avoid GMO's because studies have linked them with the rise in chronic diseases & food allergies.

What is Sustainable Agriculture?

Sustainability must be understood as an ecosystem approach to agriculture and generally refers both to economic and ecological sustainability. It is the "act" of farming using principles of ecology, the study of relationships between organisms and their environment. The phrase was reportedly coined by Australian agricultural scientist Gordon McClymont. It has also been defined as "an integrated system of plant and animal production practices having a site-specific application that will last over the long term."
